YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW

We developed this website for you because you are going to be looking for a job with us someday. We want to be able to hire you, and we won’t be able to do that if you don’t have the skills we need.

To acquire these skills, you will need to start working hard in middle school and continue to challenge yourself in high school -- because what you learn in school will get you ready for college, work and life.

Your teacher or school counselor may have directed you to this website and may be sharing our message with you. Or you may be here by yourself. You may have parents who are pushing you into college, or you may have no one in your life who is telling you that you need a good education in order to be successful. Either way, the information on this website will help you discuss college with your parents, or will help you make your own decisions about your future.

  • World Class Students encourages you to complete the sequence of rigorous courses that will serve you best whether you go to college or to work.

  • School Counts helps you understand the importance of developing a professional-level work ethic.

  • The Technology Challenge assesses and improves your ability to use common business software like word processing and spreadsheets.

  • Work the Money helps you understand that every decision is a financial decision.

  • The Math Challenge ensures that you can do the math and explains why math is so important.

You can earn a credential in each of these programs that your teacher can generate for you. You can use these credentials when you apply to a college or go for a job interview.

You can also register as a website member, and get even more information -- about careers and other mission-critical messages -- and sometimes even small rewards and incentives for performance. You have even more opportunities to learn about your future while earning rewards from the LearnDoEarn website if your school is enrolled. Talk to your counselors and teachers and encourage them to register themselves and enroll your school.

We’re really glad you are here. We really hope you listen to our message. We really need you to take your middle and high school years seriously. Our future -- and yours -- depends upon it.
