The workplace is changing rapidly almost every day, and the best way to prepare yourself for any possible future is to get a strong academic foundation in the courses that research shows will serve you best whether you plan to go to college or to the workplace:  language arts, mathematics, and science. That’s why the business community is encouraging you to take demanding high school courses and complete the Scholars Course Sequence. Even if you never expect to use quadratic equations or biological classification systems, the mental exercise you get when you take demanding courses builds your mind like walking on a treadmill or lifting weights builds your body.

But you may have questions about careers, and what kinds of jobs will be available when you graduate from high school or college. You may want to start thinking about how to match the interests you have with the kinds of skills that will lead to the job you want.

Here are a few websites to get you started in your quest to become a fully employed successful adult. These links will take you to websites that can help you learn more about colleges and others will help you learn more about jobs and careers.
