THINK SCHOOL DOESN'T COUNT?  THINK AGAIN.

If you think school doesn’t count, you couldn’t be more wrong. School counts for your future more than you know. The academic content you learn in school is essential to your future success. There are many other things that count – things that will count when you begin to look for a job, and when you have a job that you want to keep. There are things that will count if you want to make your community better, your country better, and your world better.

Now is the time for you to start learning about what counts to employers, too – while you still have time to build the academic foundation, and develop, practice and document the behaviors you will need to get and keep a good job.

Now is the time to learn why you need to do more, not less, in middle and high school.

Our virtual business people are here to tell you what counts for your future in the seven presentations below. Your teacher may have directed you to this part of the website to do one or more of these presentation modules. Each module is self-guided. Read them at your own pace and feel free to move forward and backward within the presentation. At the end of each presentation module, there is an assignment that your teacher may have asked you to complete and hand in to him. Make sure you do the best you can, because representatives of the business community have asked teachers to grade and count the assignments.
