Pick any state in the country. You will find that there are hundreds – maybe thousands -- more businesses than there are schools. These businesses may employ hundreds of thousands more adults than school districts do, and these adults work in jobs and careers that are as varied and diverse as the adults themselves.
Yet the only career that you know intimately is teaching, because students see their teachers working at their jobs every day. We think that it is very important that as a middle or high school student, you learn more about the business community.
